6 Kitchen Must-Haves for Busy Moms

6 Kitchen Must-Haves for Busy Moms

As a busy mom juggling work and online classes, I don't have the time or energy to spend hours in the kitchen cooking elaborate meals. And when you add in a picky eater and a husband who shares the cooking responsibilities, it can be a real challenge to find the right tools to make meal prep and cooking easier. That's why I wanted to share some of my favorite kitchen items that have made my life so much easier. Here are some of my Kitchen Must-Haves!

This is our number one MUST-HAVE item! Air Fryer: If you're looking for a healthier way to enjoy your favorite fried foods, an air fryer is a must-have. With an air fryer, you can enjoy crispy, delicious foods without all the oil and fat. We cook everything in it from frozen chicken nuggets to pizza!

Instant Pot: This all-in-one pressure cooker, slow cooker, rice cooker, and more has become a staple in many busy households. With the Instant Pot, you can cook a meal in a fraction of the time it would take on the stove or in the oven, and it's great for cooking soups, stews, and other one-pot meals. We use it regularly to boil eggs to have on hand for after-workout breakfasts.

Slow Cooker: A slow cooker is a busy mom's best friend. Just throw in your ingredients in the morning, and by dinnertime, you'll have a hot, delicious meal waiting for you. I highly also recommend using slow cooker liners. They're such a time saver at clean-up!

Microfiber Kitchen Towels: These towels are super absorbent and dry quickly, making them perfect for wiping up spills and messes. They're also machine-washable and durable, so you can use them again and again.

Herb Scissors: Chopping herbs by hand can be a tedious and time-consuming task, but herb scissors can make it a lot easier. With multiple blades, these scissors can quickly chop herbs into small pieces, saving you time and effort.

If you're looking to be more eco-friendly in the kitchen, consider swapping out paper towels for Swedish dish towels. These reusable towels are made from a blend of cotton and cellulose, making them highly absorbent and long-lasting. They can be used for wiping up spills and messes, drying dishes, and even as a replacement for paper napkins. Plus, they're machine-washable and can be reused over and over again, reducing waste and saving you money in the long run. By making small changes like this, you can make a big impact on the environment and reduce your carbon footprint in the kitchen.

Silicone Baking Mats: These mats are great for baking cookies, bread, and other treats, and can save you time and money by eliminating the need for parchment paper or cooking spray. They're also reusable and easy to clean.

These smaller kitchen items may seem like small changes, but they can make a big difference in making meal prep and cooking easier and more enjoyable. By investing in quality kitchen towels, organizational items, and utensils, you can save time and reduce stress in the kitchen. What are your favorite kitchen items?
